After waiting a little over two hours to get into the much anticipated YSL 2011 sample sale, we were unpleasantly surprised by the calmness and complete sophistication up on the 4th floor of the Metropolitan Pavilion. We spoke with many females (and some males) on the 3 hour line about what they hoped to snatch up. Names like "Muse Two" and "Patent Tributes" were thrown out. But when we walked in we saw none of this--just a bunch of crazies grabbing at the same failed 2009 styles.
Although we didn't have much luck, some people were triumphant. Here are some pics showing the Diva

The guy in the last picture to the left with the leopard bag took the fuchsia wallet I was trying to get from one of the hoarders that put it back. I stood next to her (the hoarder) for 20 minutes at the cash register while she decided what she was going to take and then he came in and snatched it!
ReplyDeleteI agree it's sad watching people hoard bags they're only going to resell, but it's also grossly hypocritical of you to point out others when I saw you trying to sell a bag YOU HADN'T PURCHASED to someone else. Should have been able to guess your lack of social grace when you filmed yourself taking a victory lap around the room after cutting the line to get into the sale. At least the hoarders had the decency to wait in line.
