All of our plans and strategies were quickly aborted once we got inside the DVF sample sale. While our mission to gather the most coveted item (the sequin gowns) was a success, shoppers were too focused on other things to even pay our sequins a glance.

The scene inside resembled the Long Island Expressway at 4pm on a summer Friday. Gridlocking, rubbernecking, and fender-benders were manifesting before our eyes. And the line to get into the communal dressing room was no different. Never in our sample sale careers have we experienced such enormous crowding.

So, is the DVF sample sale worth all the havoc and rough crowding?
Totally.
Racks are filled to the brim with colorful wrap dresses and bright florals to add to your summer wardrobes. There are even some Spring 2012 pieces in the mix. Pricing ranges from $20 for a tank up to $275 for a winter coat. Dresses and jackets are $130, blouses and skirts are going for $90, and the usual damaged goods will cost you $40 bucks.
Oh--and we were lucky enough to be there to experience a special performance by the DVF Rockettes. We can't promise that there will another show.
*Rumor has it that another shipment will be delivered on Thursday. So brace yourself b*tches. :)
Supermarket Sweep? Nope, it's just the DVF sample sale
