(Non- Profit) Scalping for Tickets at the Kleinfeld's Blowout

As some of you darlings might remember, today is not the first time we decided to cover a Kleinfeld's Blowout. Back in the end of November, we joined the line of a bunch of optimistic brides, enjoying their stories and excitement. This time we decided to play the sale a little differently.

We became "Scalpers"...

noun

Informal . a small profit made in quick buying and selling.

verb (used with object)

Informal .
a. to resell (tickets, merchandise, etc.) at higher than the official rates.
b. to buy and sell (stocks) so as to make small quick profits.

Because we decided to behave and not take a ticket from a poor little bride at the last sale, we concluded that this time we wanted to have a little more fun. We scalped for a cause. We waited on the outskirts just like we learned from the scalpers at Knick games, until we spotted our target. Now we needed to use our bait to lure this bride in.

"Need a ticket?' we whispered down the line. "We'll hook you up." So we spotted Olana, and boy did we make her day!

See the thing about this ticket, this golden ticket, is that if you came early enough (like we did--9 am), you get one of the first slots inside.  If you didn't, you were going to be waiting until all the brides with those tickets cleared out. So we proposed our offer to ticket-less Olana under one simple condition: She was to be our bride, and were going to kill for her dream dress. TEAM OLANA!

Could it be?  We'll never tell.... ;)

Head over to Cynthia Rowley for Valentine's gifts for your love (or yourself, if you love yourself more than anyone else)

Back to Bleeker street, we did a little shopping for Valentine's day a la Cynthia Rowley. We found some fun goodies to gift, and a few red pieces to wear on the day devoted to love. My personal favorite find was the pink tassle bagchain that could seemingly be used as something else--put on your naughty thinking caps ;).

If you're in the market for a rock for that special someone.....

This red inifinity wrap is the perfect way to keep warm and dress for the holiday

A red silk visor-- perfect if your lover one wants to play Sexy Poker Dealer

From the dress to the shoes to the purse and tiara, Cynthia Rowley has just what you need to feel like the Valentine's princess you are :)

Alas, the bag chain that we mistook for a spicy little toy

We only have to wait another 7 days until we can have us some Jason Wu for Target!

This trench is perfect for Wreaking Havoc...

With the Jason Wu for Target launch less than a week away, we began to brainstorm on the best possible strategies to cover the most ground and get the most merch as possible. While some might say that to divide and conquer is the best way to win, we say that two maniacal girls, tag-teaming and shoving through the same crowd is better than one on either side of a store. After-all, with flailing arms and rowdy "Jason Wu" chants, people will know to steer clear or join in on the chaos invoked by this bad behavior.

Our plan: To Wreak some Havoc of course! Oh, and to be of the first ten into the store (see Missoni for Target).

Location: Target Stores across the US-- but if you want to shop with us, we will be at the Target on 117th st in Harlem :)

Havoc Rating: As high as Missoni for Target, because something about Target sets us off....

It's a Karl, Karl World....and We Wanna Live in it

At 11 am today, 375 Bleeker was taken over by the World of Karl. The photos on the wall from the Net-A-Porter launch on Wednesday kame to life. Tall slender mannequins sported intricately styled looks from the Karl by Karl Lagerfeld kollection. Yes, it is true that the kollection is all sold out, but not to worry, he'll be back on February 28 for a whole new debut. The February launch promises to have the looks we loved from this week (especially that ohh soo amazingly havoc-worthy leather kollar) as well as a few more styles to choose from. And to keep you satiated for the next month, you kan purchase your very own plush Karl doll to kuddle with at night which is available at the store right now! Or if you want to wear Karl on your sleeve (or your neck) all day and all night, why not go for the Karl brooch? Oh, and let's not forget, Karl wants to keep you safe so he made sure to design the koolest helmet ever. Now you can ride to the pop-up safely and in style. Thanks Karl :)

Just be aware that every week new Karl Kitsch will arrive to the shop to play with us, so if you plan to get the doll, go now!

Doo-Ri for Macy's is Here for All of Us to See!

The Doo-Ri collection is due to hit the floor of Macy's February 15.  I'm sure Michelle Obama's doing jumping jacks and flips previewing all the pieces. The final product is much better than the sketches we showed our readers few months ago.

The idea, Chung stated, is to design for the same woman who might already wear Doo.Ri off the runway. "I think the customer might be the same," Chung said, "I think their salaries might be different, and I think that's what was exciting for me -- I want to dress a modern woman, and if I can give them a different price point, then that's great."

From her signature draping to brush-stroke prints, everything looks great....Oh Doo-Ri, we love you.  Here are WreakHavoc's top picks.

We think Mrs. President would look breathtaking in the red dress to the far left.
We particularly love the jacket and the breathtaking maxi-dress
Michelle,
If you'd like to carpool with us, we'll be going to the Macy's in Herald Square.  Look for us.

Zac Posen and Lord & Taylor Come Together

Aren't you sick of seeing stars like Demi, Sienna, Beyonce, Rihanna, & Leighton decked from head to toe in Zac Posen and wish you could look like them?  Don't you just love seeing Zac's adorable face on the Today Show?  Do you just love that his Mom is his on again off again CEO?  If you 're saying yes to all of these questions, especially one regarding his Mommellah, then I'm sure we made this gloomy Wednesday, a little brighter for you.

Zac Posen and Lord & Taylor are joining forces bringing you a diffusion line of 12 dresses priced from $149-$199.  I have a feeling this collection is going to kick (Zac Posen for)Target's red round bulls eye bottom.  It may be hard though, since that was one of our favorite collaborations.
Good job Lord & Taylor!  So happy you finally came around and jumped on the band collab-wagon.  It's about time!

You will see us and our elated smiles at 424 Fifth Avenue on April 30th!

Karl, Why Don't You Pop-Up More Often?

If you walked down Bleeker Street today, it would have been hard not to notice the massive arrangement of big black balloons enveloping the front of a store. Lo and Behold--Karl by Karl Lagerfeld was launched! At 10:30 this morning, the doors opened inviting customers to celebrate by clicking away! We got there in the afternoon, so we sadly missed the gift they gave out to the first 50 to arrive (leather collars), but trust us--this was still a great event!

Some clickers were obsessed, not taking their finger off the iPad--determined to win a prize.  Others clickers celebrated their winnings by jumping around screaming with excitement.

What was all the commotion?
Lagerfeld generously teamed up with Net-A-Porter to allow shoppers to use an iPad to click on pieces from the collection that were strewn across the walls just like they would be in Vogue.

We haven't had this much fun since GagaLand at Barneys :)

L'Amore Nanette Lepore

JC Penny is jumping on the collab wagon once again.  They just announced their partnership with American fashion designer Nanette Lepore.  The collection will be called L'Amour Nanette Lepore, inspired by her teenage daughter Violet.  The line is geared toward teens ages 13-19.  Here at WreakHavocNY, we slightly surpass that age but we will gladly sport pig-tails to look the part.

L'Amour Nanette Lepore doesn't come out till February 2013.

What we hope to fight for purchase: Flouncy, flirty dresses

YSL, Has Anyone Ever Told You You're a Tease?

Dear Yves Saint Laurent Store,
Please stop teasing and taunting us with your sign on Mercer Street. We want to shop!  Please come soon....preferably sooner than later.
As you know, we had a bad encounter with one of your sales girls at your 57th street store.  That sales girl shall remain nameless, only to be called Duck Lips.    And since your Madison Avenue store closed (after 41 amazing years), we have to venture out of Manhattan to buy our Tributes!  Please come to Soho already!!!

Love,
Claire and Claudia

P.S. You know who you are Duck Lips-We just hope you stay put at the 57th street store.

If you would like to see the new store sign you could find it at 149 Mercer Street.

Dates to 2012 Fashion Week's most Havoc-Worthy Shows

Fall 2012 Fashion Week begins on the 9th, and we can't wait to see what our favorite designers have in store. Will Joseph Altuzarra once again blow our minds with a piece that everyone will hunt for? Will Pheobe Philo at Celine continue to own the streets of New York with her streamlined designs? We will be taking notes on Fashion Week's most covetable ready-to-wear pieces.

Our motive: To follow these pieces all the way to the sale racks and sample sales where they will become [somewhat] affordable and havoc-worthy of course :)

Here are the dates to the shows that we think will cause havoc due to these designers' over the top talents and popularity:

February 11: 5pm Alexander Wang
                      8pm Altuzarra

February 12: 4pm DVF

February 13: 8pm Marc Jacobs

February 15: 8pm Proenza Schouler

With Fashion Week a Month Away...

Pre-Fall Dreaming; Marni Pre-Fall 2012

Who doesn't love Marni?!  We could just see ourselves in these luxe belted pieces.   Hope this collection inspires March's H&M line.

We love you Marni (;

Armani Friends & Family Sale Kicks off Friday!

Starting Friday January 27, the Armani store on 5th avenue (and 55th street) will host its Friends & Family sale. Mr. Armani was always one of the leaders of the cool crowd, which makes us wonder who of his "friends and family" might show up. We hope that Lady Gaga stops by to say hello....

See you there :)

We hope that this famous dress will be marked down...come on Gaga!

Havoc Rating: High (Maybe Lady Gaga will show up)

H&M Site Crashed Due to High Demand for Versace Goods

Donatella Versace has done it again.  She decided to debut another Versace for H&M collection.  But this time, the collection's only sold in Europe on H&M's E-commerce site.  This collection, which has far less  fringe and bright colors than last is completely sold out!  Sold out to the point that the site crashed this morning leaving many unhappy customers...

Sound familiar?  This kind of online drama hasn't happened since the Missoni for Target collaboration back in September.

H&M did apologize for the inconvenience...But apologies mean nothing to customers when they have no fruit printed assymmetrical dresses in their shopping carts...I guess they'll just have to wait for returns...or this seller's store on Ebay.

Forever 21 Gets Sued!

The super trendy, super well priced, super crowded store, Forever 21 is getting sued...

Yesterday, five employees filed a class action lawsuit in San Francisco Superior Court, claiming that Forever 21 forced them to work off the clock and denied them meal breaks!!!  I guess Forever 21 really wants their employees to fit into their very untrue-to-size sweatshirts ever so perfectly.  After being denied a lunch break, they were frisked for stolen merchandise.  Wow- really sounds like a great place to work.

Next time we go, we're going to bring snacks....

Real Housewives Cindy Barshop Comes Out With a Neon Fox-Fur Wig..And You'll Never Guess Which Area Its For

Real Housewives of New York City and owner of Completely Bare, Cindy Barshop is coming out with two  new gimmicks for her salon.  For $225, you could get “The Foxy Bikini” which actual real fox fur is applied to the bikini, or for $195, you could get "The Carnivale Bikini " which are neon colored feathers.  Fur!!?? Feathers?!? How trendy!!!

I could tell you from now that the ladies who jumped at the Mongolian fur vests at the DVF  sale, will be dialing Completely Bare the second they see this post.  Now they can sport that vest and their new "do" out to dinner with heels.   I know it's made of fox fur, but its close enough!

Kleinfeld Blowout January 31...the hunt for the most wanted dress.

The January 31st Kleinfeld Blowout might be the craziest one ever, and we can't wait to be there. Since Filene's went out of business, we deem this THE SALE for girls looking to grab a deal on the gown they will wear on their special day. And since Kleinfeld is known for its vast selection of the intricate and oh so feminine Pnina Tornai gowns, we decree these the dresses the one's that will end up causing the cat-fights.

A preview of what Kleinfeld's will look like on January 31

Prostestors outside Bryant Park Wreaking Havoc (or picketing), but either way we decided to chat with them

This is really a stretch far from what we usually cover, but we decided to have a chat with a bunch of men standing outside Bryant Park freezing their asses off, all in the name of UNION.

Sales Girl Confidential #1

A little birdy flew down and graced us with the perfect story...

Think ladies who lunch are as seamless as they seem? Don't let Birkin fool you because we have a little something to tell.

On the designer shoe floor of a well known store, two ladies quarelled over class. Lets call them Claire and Claudia. Claire was waiting patiently to retrieve 2 pairs of Balenciaga's she had already purchased and paid for over the phone. Claudia, the impatient lady who just lunched, was standing there waiting to return her Miu Miu glitter heels while grunting and rolling her eyes. Claudia, who probably had one martini too many, pushed herself passed Claire to be first waited on.

"Excuse me miss, but I think I was waiting here before you," said a shocked Claire.

"Well who do you think you are?? You're Gross!" said [allegedly] intoxicated Claudia.

"No! You're gross! YOU WORK"! Claire angrily lashed back.

The end :)

Protesters Rally Outside of the Dolce and Gabbana Store like Missoni and Target had another collaboration

A best part of WreakHavocNY that attracts most of our readers (aside from our wit and charm) are our photos.  So imagine we didn't show you any?? You probably wouldn't be as much of a fan as you are now.

The Dolce and Gabbana flagship store in Hong Kong is enforcing a new rule banning people from taking photos of their store window claiming its a matter of intellectual property.  Employees reportedly threatened shoppers (and/or browsers) snapping photos saying things like "I will break your camera if you do not stop taking pictures."

The kicker?
Workers made threatening comments to Hong Kong people only! Local mainland Chinese and foreigners were left alone free to take photos that will probably end up on Facebook .

We wish we were there to help support the non cause.  We would have been the front runners wreaking havoc on D&G.

What's next? Dolcee and Gabbana buses with separate seating.

Mission Complete (pretty much complete) at Helmut Lang!

Once again, Helmut Lang and Theory blew us away. We got to the sale around 8:30, and there was a nice crowd going through the perfectly organized racks of clothing. From sweaters to suede, there was an endless amount to choose from. The only difference between this sale and last were the prices. Everything was really dirt cheap, and we mean dirt cheap. Jeans for $70, Sweaters for $100, and impeccable leather and suede for prices nearing $260.

As for our mission. Claire was on the hunt for that amazing rabbit-trimmed denim vest. We looked through every single rack, she even started following people around that seemed to be holding it in their piles. But no, just some other great pieces.

Then, while Claire was walking around the floor in a Gaga-esque Theyskens' Theory gown and Blue Suede Theyksen's Theory wedges, she clumsily tripped over herself only to land in front of something black and furry. It was the last one on the rack and she grabbed like it was the last pair of Choo's at the Saks After Christmas Sale (as you all know, Claire is quite the hogger when she wants to be).

This Flux Fur Hooded Vest was so hot, that it made the other one seem like Versace for H&M's bad leftovers. And the best part of all: this amazing rabbit fur was only $360.

We deem this mission a success :)

Pre-Fall Dreaming

I'm sure a lot of you have been seeing a ton of Pre-Fall runway collections on almost every fashion website and blog you visit.

Odds are you browse through those slide shows hoping to afford a piece or two.  Some mourn over the fact that they can't afford to purchase these items, some get creative as to how they could save up for these items and some, like us, plan on going to the next sample sale to fight for these items.  We already set our sights on a few goodies from the Pre-Fall Vera Wang collection.  We may have to take extreme measures at the next sample sale in order to get the pieces we want. So please, step aside.

Wreak Havoc's version of debuting certain Pre-Fall collections is not really the full collection but rather what we hope to get our hands on at the next sample sale....We call this Pre-Fall Dreaming.  The designs were inspired by Jane Birkin and 1960s Yves Saint Laurent.  The collection is the perfect fuse between whimsical and vintage yet modern at the same time.

What we hope to snag:
Layers, rich textures, and high low dresses

The Hunt for The Helmut Lang Denim Rabbit-Trimmed Vest

When Helmut Lang announced its second sample sale in a month with Theyskens' Theory (and now Theory too!) via Twitter, we were jumping for joy. Well really Claire was more excited than I. She, just like many other girls we encountered at the December sale, fell in love with an O So Sexy denim and fur vest designed by Helmut Lang. There were tons and tons of racks filled with amazing things in all sizes, but this vest was hiding in a corner by the back and there were only 5 on the rack. Sadly there were only Larges left, and many girls, like Claire, were swimming in it.

So when our beloved Helmut Lang announced its January sale in Soho, we decided we were going on a mission. We're gonna find that vest, and we will stop at nothing to get it. If this means tripping a girl or two, or distracting other crowds by tossing leather jackets into sweater piles, we will do whatever it takes. And since we are deeming this the 'Hottest Piece of A**' at the sale, we plan on sweeping up as many as possible.

So if any of you sale hoarding lovers plan on beating us to 93 Mercer on Friday (or if you bought a ticket to the VIP sale on the 12th, which we plan to skip since we love crowds so much more than being VIP) then please, please be a good havoc wreaker and make us jealous if you find one!

Mission: Get the Helmut Lang Denim Rabbit-Trimmed Vest
Mission Accomplished: ???

Exhibit A: The Vest

Exhibit B: Claire's 'please please help me find this vest, I can't live without it' face

Jason Wu For Target Collection is Here!!!

Just a couple hours ago Target unveiled its Jason Wu collection, and from the looks of it, the day of its launch will be just as insane as Missoni was. We plan on getting there by 6 am the latest, and we know many of you will do the exact same thing.

Every piece he designed is so beautiful that we think our plan will be to get as many of everything as we can just like we did at Missoni!

Here are the looks that we'll be getting especially feisty over, but to see the complete collection we recommend you viewing it via The Cut.

Saks Fifth Avenue Consolidation Sale!

As if the After-Christmas Sale wasn't crazy enough, Saks is now about to embark on another havoc-worthy few weeks. Beginning on Friday the 13th (as if that date doesn't cause enough chaos), Saks will begin its Consolidation Sale, and it will run for an entire month!

If this department store thinks it will steer clear of all things havoc, they have another thing coming to them.

See you then ;)

Havoc Rating: Extremely High

Date and Location: We all know where Saks is

The American Apparel Warehouse Sale is extended to January 31st!

American Apparel definitely takes the award for longest lasting warehouse sale ever. Since the middle of December, the company has been hosting a sale promising discounts nearing 90% off. And instead of closing on its original date of December 27th, they extended the deals another month! While Claire and I originally decided to skip this one, we are now intrigued. For a sale to be able to last this long, and still have a decent amount of stuff left, is pretty f**king sweet. We plan to scope out the sale on its last days, hoping to find some last minute skin-tight party dresses we know all you girls love to wear. See you all there!

Havoc Rating: Medium- High (because the sale will last another month, we don't anticipate as many hair-pulling cat-fights as usual-- but don't mistake that to mean no havoc at all!)

Date and Location: 766 6th Avenue

Mini Kardashians are coming to town!

Growing up in the 80s & 90s, all little girls (and some strange big girls) played with Barbie dolls.  Some had Barbie Dream Houses and the really lucky girls owned that pink Barbie Corvette with headlights that light up.

Barbie was a Doctor...Barbie was a Veterinarian...Barbie was a teacher...Barbie married Ken and they had the perfect life together.  But most of all, Barbie was a role model.  Every girl dreamed of being Barbie!

Apparently Kim, Kourtney and Khloe had the same dream because limited edition Dash Dolls are on the way!  And we can't wait for the launch!  Word has it that the dolls measurements will reflect their actual curves.

Havoc Rating: High

I wonder if the Kardashian Dream House will be a model of the Ganzevoort hotel.

With Fashion Week a Month Away, We'll be Prepared to Spot all the Lustful Looks for Fall (that we obviously hope will be marked down in December :) )

Was it really just last February that the famed Altuzzara parka took the stage? It seems like forever ago that those awe inspiring coats broke the hearts of many with a price well over $3000. We waited patiently for the beloved combo of fur and nylon to be marked down, to be spotted at a sample sale. Perhaps there will be one or two at the upcoming Barney's Warehouse Sale. We will certainly be one of the first inside to have a chance at finding it.

The memory of that coat debut got me thinking about what this season's "Altuzzara Parka" would be. Which designer is going to cause complete chaos next fall by creating a piece that nobody will be able to live without? Will Al Wang be responsible for the design that will be the cause of a catfight at next November's sale? Or perhaps the award will go to Proenza Schouler. Whoever the champ might be, we will be keeping tabs on all the shows, following every hot ticket item all the way to its markdown.
