Spring 2013 Dreaming: Rag & Bone

New York Fashion Week came and went, leaving us to dream about what will be to come at our favorite spring sample sales. At the top of our havoc-worthy list sits Rag & Bone's Spring 2013 collection. It was pretty much flawless with leathers, silks, and tons of neon green. Here are some of the pieces we will be hunting for come spring sale time...

Derek Lam for Kohl's

If you're getting sick of collaborations, go ahead and pop some more Pepto-Bismol because the next collab announcement is a major one.  This time Kohl's and Derek Lam are to blame for your sickness.  

Derek Lam is the second designer to join Kohl's DesigNation project which lets designers create a collection inspired by their destination of choice. Narcisso Rodriguez was the first of this collab-wagon, bringing us a line inspired by Istanbul.  Lam on the other hand chose Brazil.  No, there aren't any bikinis, tanning lotion, or skimpy dresses--his designs are simply inspired by Brazil. “This collection with Kohl’s serves as an ally to modern women, embracing the spirit of Rio and providing beautiful, inspired clothing at an affordable price.” 

The collection will be available in April and May of next year and will retail from $38 to $98 at Kohl’s stores nationwide.

The Rent the Runway Sale is Back

Yep, the Rent the Runway Sale returns on October 1st to 260 5th Avenue with excellent timing. If you were watching the Emmy Awards last night and saw a few dresses that you'd love to own but could never afford, this sale is your opportunity to look just as beautiful as Kate Mara did in that Badgley Mischka gown. 

The brands you'll find include Rebecca Taylor, Badgley Mischka and Catherine Malandrino among others. And although the dresses and accessories have been gently used, discounts as large as 95% make up for any coffee stain you might find.

Rows Upon Rows Upon Rows at The Row Sample Sale

If  you were one of the unlucky ones at The Row's last sample sale, getting there just three hours after it opened only to find a room filled with empty racks and tables, this time around you will certainly be in a better place. The sale opened promptly at 9, which is usually the case at Soiffer Haskin, and the early-birds had a mass amount from which to choose. The floor was filled with racks of leathers, silks, and exotics. There were accessories table where you could find sunglasses, handbags, belts, and snakeskin gloves for 70% off. And the best part of all... See a pair of sunglasses that someone else snatched? No need to fear, they have stock!

So we took our time looking around at other people's piles while picking up some great pieces for ourselves.

With October 4th only three weeks away, it's about the appropriate time to start planning your shopping strategies for the Anna Dello Russo x H&M launch. Just a few days ago we started to see what the collection actually includes, and it's obvious that Ms. Dello Russo took inspiration from her own closet.

And this time it's coming to Soiffer Haskin for a whole four days.  The last sale was for one day only which actually just lasted a few hours so you could only imagine the havoc.  And we heard the prices were reasonable--even more reason for havoc.  Hopefully this year will be even better...

The Row, Mary-Kate and Ashley's more classic yet edgy line isn't exactly affordable.  Most sweaters start in the low thousands, leather in the high two thousands, fur above ten thousand and their famous crocodile backpack goes for $39,000 and being that last year's sale was supposedly affordable, makes this sale so much better.  Get ready for the havoc.

Just Another Sunday at Lincoln Center with Celebrities and a Zac Posen Fashion Show

Fashion Week the WreakHavocNY way continued yesterday during our afternoon outing to Lincoln Center. We knew that the Zac Posen show that evening would bring the best of crowds, so we decided to take on the roll of two paparazzis. We were staged outside the Avery Fisher Hall as we waited for a "Somebody" to pass us by.  We were like cats sniffing out mice--clearly we were on a mission. And slowly the mice rolled in. Don't be too envious of what you are about to see...
